DJ. Music Bingo. Quiz Host.
The other side of my event work — kept here as a secondary part of Lockie.ie, with photography remaining the main focus.
More than pressing play.
I've been DJing for over 26 years across Cork pubs, clubs, private events and festivals. I ran Electric Dreams, one of Ireland's biggest 80s nights, based in the Savoy in Cork and touring around Ireland, and I've been part of the popular 80s Vs 90s festival act, closing Indiependence for ten years.
For me, DJing is about reading the room — knowing when to change direction, when to interact with the crowd and how to turn a playlist into a proper night out.
I also host Music Bingo for regular pub nights, one-off events, fundraisers, weddings, post-speech entertainment and next-day wedding events.
Game-show energy, not a quiet pub quiz.
I've hosted quizzes in Cork for more than 16 years, working closely with Patrick Ahern Entertainment and running nights in well-known Cork venues including The Brog, The Woodford and The Woolshed.
The format is interactive: teams go head to head, steal points, spin prize wheels and sometimes risk everything on a final play. It's designed as entertainment as much as trivia.
